Glutathione is one of the most popular names when it comes to skin whitening products in the Philippines. Not being a pharmacist or a geek in terms of chemical content, I went ahead for a bit of research of Glutathione.
Wikipedia defines Glutathione (GSH) as a tripeptide. It contains an unusual peptide linkage between the amine group of cysteine and the carboxyl group of the glutamate side chain. Glutathione, an antioxidant, helps protect cells from reactive oxygen species such as free radicals and peroxides. In simpler terms as I have read somewhere:
