Metathione whitening capsule is one of the most popular skin whitening products in the market today. Originally used to aid liver patients, it is now more commonly used as a whitening agent. Mostly imported from Japan and the United States, there are many brands of metathione to choose from. Aside from the capsule which must be taken orally, you can also buy it in soap or lotion form. Of course, the pills and capsules supposedly work faster because it is ingested.

Because I already have fair skin, I don’t need to take metathione pills. However, I still have a lot of pimple marks from the days when I was breaking out everyday. Having read about metathione, I consulted my dermatologist and asked if taking metathione can help get rid of my acne scars. We gave it a try and after a month of taking the pills ( one a day), I noticed that my overall complexion improved. Even my arms brightened. Sadly, my scars were still there and there was no noticeable difference.

I wanted to continue taking the pills for another month because I didn’t feel any side effect anyway. It’s a good thing I was very patient and persistent because by the end of the second month, most of my acne scars had faded. The spots can be easily covered by light foundation. I don’t have to use concealers anymore. And the best part is that my skin really glows!

So if you have the money, then do invest in metathione instead of getting treatments from a clinic. It’s cheaper that way. And it’s painless as well. I don’t recommend taking metathione if you want to get rid of acne scars though. I’ve tried laser treatments and it was more effective. But metathione pills really work to brighten and lighten one’s skin tone. Don’t expect results after a few weeks though.
